About Us

Valeo is an elearning program developed and offered by The Evaluation Center at Western Michigan University, where our mission is to advance the theory, practice, and use of evaluation. Valeo is the latest development in the center's long history of offering practical, accessible, and high-quality materials and activities to help people conduct and use evaluation.

Valeo is committed to offering courses that are learner-centered, practical, engaging, and accessible. We are excited to introduce Valeo with three initial courses. Ultimately, we aim to offer a comprehensive set of courses on evaluation so that learners can get the specific learning content they need, when they need it. We are eager to hear your suggestions for additional topics you'd like to see in our course offerings. Please take a moment to let us know by contacting us here.

Meet Our Team

Kelly Robertson and Lori Wingate are spearheading Valeo's content development. We are partnering with instructional design experts at Allen Interactions (shout out to Jen Driscol!). We look forward to collaborating with other evaluation experts to develop new courses. We're based at The Evaluation Center at Western Michigan University, and together we have about 45 years of experience in the program evaluation field.

Western Michigan University is located on lands historically occupied by the Ojibwe, Odawa and Bodewadmi nations. Please take a moment to acknowledge and honor this ancestral land of the Three Fires Confederacy, the sacred lands of all Indigenous peoples and their continued presence.
